Becoming an Emmaus Partner

At the Wellington Ultreya in Palmerston North recently the Secretariat launched a planned giving programme in support of the many events being undertaken by this ministry.

Under the guide if the Treasurer, John Roche those in attendance were outlined an opportunity to be part of a structured planned giving initiative
Becoming an Emmaus Partner would allow Cursillo to build a community forth day model that provides this ministry with regular funding allowing for budgetary forecasting of events and programmes under its care.

Emmaus Partners are individual Cursillistas who in prayer, action and finances walk the journey with this ministry for our God’s glory. In Luke 24:32 “were not  our hearts burning within us while He was speaking with us on the road, while He explained the scriptures to us” This scripture is a foundational stone to our forth day walk within this movement and a very appropriate name for any committed support.

Cursillistas were asked to pledge $15 per month by automatic payment on an ongoing basis. With the recent changes in New Zealand tax law we can give a donations receipt annually for all monies given that could be use to offset any tax obligation. De Colores Wellington Secretariat

Becoming a Cyrus Partner

At the same time was launched a planned giving programme for business and marketplace partners called Cyrus Partners.  These are supporters who in prayer, action and finance will build this ministry for Jesus. The key here is Ezra 1:2 ...says Cyrus King of Persia, “The Lord, The God of Heaven has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and He has appointed me to build Him a house in Jerusalem”

Here partners would pledge to donate $50 per month to the building of the ministry. Again they would be entitled to an annual donation receipt to offset any tax obligation.
